Beijing, China – In a celebratory ceremony held on Thursday, representatives of gold medalists from the 19th Asian Games and the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou were honored with exclusive “champion stamps” recognizing their exceptional performances.

The stamps were intricately crafted by 220 artists from the renowned Xiling Seal Art Society, a prestigious arts organization based in Hangzhou. Founded in 1904, the society is esteemed for its contribution to traditional stone seal engraving, an integral aspect of Chinese cultural heritage.
Prominent figures attending the ceremony included Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group (CMG); Xing Bo, vice president of CMG; Zhang Jiasheng, deputy director of the General Administration of Sport of China; and You Liang, vice president of the executive board of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation. Their presence underscored the significance of the event in promoting sportsmanship and cultural appreciation.
In her address, Xing Bo highlighted the intrinsic connection between sports and culture, emphasizing how they complement each other to foster mutual development. She remarked, “Sports and culture are closely intertwined, and together they propel our society forward.” Xing also acknowledged CMG’s groundbreaking efforts in broadcasting the Games globally in 4K and 8K resolutions for the first time, enhancing the viewing experience and showcasing technological advancements.
The champion stamps not only celebrate athletic achievement but also serve as a symbol of the rich cultural tapestry of the region. The collaboration between athletes and artists reflects a harmonious blend of sports and art, inspiring unity and continued excellence in both fields.
