A devastating road accident in the Chinese mainland's Sichuan Province has left six people dead, local authorities confirmed.
The incident took place on Sunday morning along a section of the national highway that links Jiuzhaigou County in Sichuan and Wenxian County in the neighboring Gansu Province. According to official reports, a van transporting six individuals collided with a truck.
The impact was severe, resulting in the immediate death of three people at the scene. Despite the rapid response of emergency medical teams and subsequent treatment, the other three passengers also passed away.
Local authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. This tragedy serves as a somber reminder of the importance of road safety on the highways of the southwest region.
