China has called for strengthened economic cooperation among Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) members during a high-profile business forum in Beijing. The forum, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, highlighted opportunities in cross-border infrastructure and digital connectivity. Participants examined initiatives to create an 'SCO community with a shared future,' aligning with China's vision for multilateral development.
Recent trade data shows SCO members accounted for 20% of global GDP growth in 2023. Analysts suggest enhanced cooperation could unlock new opportunities in energy, technology, and agricultural sectors across Eurasia.
