Xi Jinping Leads CPC Meeting to Foster High-Quality Development and Ecological Protection
On Monday, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, chaired a significant meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. The gathering focused on advancing high-quality development and promoting ecological conservation in the Yellow River Basin, a region vital to China's cultural heritage and economic future.
The meeting reviewed a comprehensive report from the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. This included discussions on the work reports of the leading Party members' groups from key state institutions: the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the Supreme People's Court (SPC), and the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP). The Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee also presented its work report.
The CPC leadership acknowledged the achievements of these institutions over the past year and approved their work plans for 2025. The Secretariat was urged to enhance its political capabilities, strengthen self-governance, and effectively accomplish all tasks entrusted by the CPC Central Committee.
