Chinese President Xi Jinping has concluded his three-day visit to the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), departing on Friday aboard a special plane. The visit marked the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to China and included participation in anniversary celebrations, the inauguration of the sixth-term government of the SAR, and an inspection tour of the region.
During his stay from Wednesday to Friday, President Xi, who is also the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, engaged in a series of activities aimed at highlighting Macao’s development and integration with the mainland.
At the departure ceremony, President Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, warmly shook hands with well-wishers who gathered to see them off, waving goodbye to the cheering crowd. The atmosphere was one of celebration and mutual appreciation, reflecting the strong ties between Macao and the mainland.
Senior officials, including Cai Qi and other members of the central government delegation, also departed on the same plane.
