The duo overcame a resilient challenge from Chongqing Municipality’s Zhao Zhaoyan and Sun Mingyang, securing a 15-13, 9-11, 8-11, 11-7, 12-10, 11-5 victory.
Liu and Lin started strong, saving a game point in the opening frame to take an early lead. However, Zhao and Sun quickly retaliated, overturning a four-point deficit in the second game to level the match at 1-1. They maintained their momentum by winning the third game, putting them ahead 2-1.
Drawing on their experience as former world champions, Liu and Lin fought back to claim the fourth game, equalizing the match at 2-2. The fifth game was a tight contest, but Liu and Lin rallied at a critical moment to edge ahead 3-2. In the sixth game, they dominated from the outset, racing to a 6-1 lead and ultimately sealing the victory to capture the gold medal.
In the men’s singles final, Beijing Municipality’s Huang Youzheng displayed exceptional skill to defeat individual participant Ao Hualei in straight games, 11-9, 11-4, 12-10, 11-6. While Huang maintained control throughout most of the match, Ao demonstrated remarkable tenacity in the third game, tying the score at 10-10 before Huang closed out the game.
The women’s singles final saw Liu Weishan of Tianjin Municipality triumph over Yang Yiyun from Shanghai Municipality with a scoreline of 11-9, 5-11, 11-6, 11-4, 11-6. Liu secured the gold medal after a series of intense rallies and strategic play.
