American Software Engineer Hopes for Stronger China-U.S. Cooperation Under Trump’s Presidency

On January 20, U.S. President Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States. Eric Chow, a software engineer from the U.S., expressed his expectations for the future of China-U.S. relations during an interview with CGTN.

Despite acknowledging the existing tensions between the two nations, Chow remains hopeful about the bilateral relationship. \"I hope that China and the U.S. can strengthen cooperation to make the world a better place,\" he shared.

Chow believes that collaboration between the two global powers is essential. \"Although tensions make me cautious, I still harbor a positive attitude toward the future,\" he said. \"Working together is the key to addressing global challenges.\"

As the new administration begins its term, many like Chow are looking forward to improved relations and increased cooperation between China and the United States over the next four years.
