Xi Jinping Visits Shenyang Ahead of Spring Festival

In the lead-up to this year's Spring Festival, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, visited Shenyang, the capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, on Thursday. The Spring Festival, falling on January 29 this year, is the most significant festival for the Chinese people, marking a time of family reunion and celebration.

During his visit, Xi toured a food market and a residential community, where he engaged with local residents and vendors. He learned about the supply of goods during the holiday season and examined measures in place to meet residents' daily needs and optimize public services. Xi also reviewed the progress made in improving people's lives, emphasizing the importance of enhancing public well-being.

For more than a decade, it has been Xi's tradition to spend time with the people ahead of the Spring Festival. His visits demonstrate a commitment to connecting with communities across China, reinforcing the government's focus on grassroots engagement and people-centered development.
