The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that it has taken countermeasures against three U.S. military-linked companies and ten senior executives in response to U.S. arms sales to Taiwan.
The targeted enterprises include Edge Autonomy Operations LLC, Huntingdon Ingalls Industries Inc., and Skydio Inc. The sanctions involve the freezing of their movable and immovable properties and other assets within China, according to the ministry's statement.
In addition to the companies, ten individuals associated with these firms will also face sanctions. Their assets within China will be frozen, and they will be denied visas and entry into China, including the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.
"All organizations and individuals within China are prohibited from engaging in transactions, cooperation, and other activities with the sanctioned entities and individuals," the statement added.
These measures reflect China's firm opposition to U.S. arms sales to Taiwan and are part of its efforts to safeguard national sovereignty and security.
