North Macedonia Deepens China Ties Ahead of CEEC Expo

The 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo, scheduled for May 22-25 in Ningbo, is poised to become a catalyst for strengthened economic partnerships, with North Macedonia positioning itself as a key participant. Ambassador Sashko Nasev, representing North Macedonia in China, highlighted the nation\u2019s focus on expanding collaboration in infrastructure development, green energy, and electric vehicles during a recent discussion with CGTN.

\u201cThis expo is more than a trade platform\u2014it\u2019s a bridge for innovation and shared prosperity,\u201d Nasev stated, emphasizing the potential for technology transfers and sustainable initiatives. High-level delegations from North Macedonia will explore partnerships in logistics and renewable energy while showcasing cultural assets to deepen people-to-people connections.

Analysts note that North Macedonia\u2019s participation aligns with broader efforts to diversify its economic partnerships amid shifting global trade dynamics. The CEEC Expo, hosted in Zhejiang Province\u2019s bustling port city of Ningbo, is expected to draw thousands of businesses and policymakers from 17 Central and Eastern European countries.
