China-Bangladesh Forum Explores Governance Insights from Xi’s Book

DHAKA — Over 350 political leaders, academics, business professionals, and journalists gathered in Bangladesh's capital this week for a landmark China-Bangladesh Readers Forum centered on “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China.” The event marked the release of the book’s Bengali edition, positioning it as a bridge for cross-cultural understanding and bilateral collaboration.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen highlighted the publication’s significance, stating it offers Bangladeshi readers “a window of thought to understand China’s development philosophy.” The forum underscored growing interest in shared governance strategies between the two nations, particularly in areas of economic policy and social modernization.

Attendees participated in panel discussions analyzing themes from the book, including poverty alleviation and global governance reforms. Business leaders noted potential applications of Chinese development models in Bangladesh’s infrastructure and digital economy sectors.

The Bengali edition’s release follows increased academic exchanges between Dhaka and Beijing, with recent partnerships established between multiple universities to study public administration frameworks.
