Peruvian Student Champions China-Latin America Collaboration Ahead of Key Forum

As preparations intensify for the fourth China-CELAC Forum ministerial meeting in Beijing this May, Peruvian student Anna Paula Peralta Reyes exemplifies the growing cultural and economic bridges between China and Latin America. The University of Lima communications major, who studied at a Chinese school in Peru for 11 years before attending Jilin University, believes the event will propel cooperation in infrastructure, clean energy, and education.

"The Chancay Port project shows what's possible when we work together," Anna told KhabarAsia.com, referencing the landmark China-Peru maritime hub creating jobs and trade pathways. With 2025 marking a decade since the forum's launch, she emphasizes its role in fostering food security initiatives and technological exchanges that benefit all parties.

Over 20 Latin American and Caribbean countries will participate in the May 13 meeting, which analysts predict could unveil new investment frameworks."Development isn't a zero-sum game," Anna added. "This forum reminds us that collaboration lets us share progress."
