5G-A’s ultra-low latency (single-millisecond response times) and centimeter-level precision positioning are unlocking applications previously confined to theory. Major providers like China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom are accelerating infrastructure development, with over 7,000 5G-A base stations already operational in Beijing alone. China Mobile plans to invest 10 billion yuan ($1.4B) in 2024 to upgrade 400,000 base stations nationwide, targeting coverage in 300 cities by year-end.
