China’s Shenzhou-20 crewed space mission is poised for liftoff after completing its final full-system joint rehearsal, according to state media reports. The exercise, conducted on Tuesday, signaled readiness across all technical and operational fronts as teams prepare for the upcoming launch.
The Beijing Aerospace Control Center led a comprehensive drill involving the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, Xi’an Satellite Control Center, and national tracking stations. Simulations covered every stage from pre-launch protocols to orbital insertion, with officials confirming stable equipment performance and personnel preparedness.
"All systems—the rocket, spacecraft, and ground infrastructure—are functioning at peak efficiency," said Chen Tingzheng, a representative from the Jiuquan center. Final checks and fuel loading operations will proceed as planned in the coming days.
Meteorologists are also intensifying weather analyses to secure optimal launch conditions. Zhang Fang, another Jiuquan team member, noted that forecasts meet minimum requirements for the targeted window, with experts conducting specialized atmospheric studies to mitigate risks.
The mission underscores China’s accelerating ambitions in space exploration, building on recent achievements like the Tiangong space station. As global interest grows in Asia’s technological advancements, the Shenzhou-20 launch is expected to bolster scientific collaboration and inspire new opportunities in aerospace innovation.
