Addressing an audience of diplomats and scholars, Wang underscored the relevance of the Bandung Spirit's core tenets—mutual respect, non-interference, and peaceful coexistence—in tackling modern challenges.
A member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Wang highlighted that Asian and African countries have become pivotal actors in fostering global peace and development over the past seven decades. However, he cautioned against 'power politics and unilateral bullying' that threaten multilateral systems, advocating instead for inclusive economic globalization and stronger cooperation among developing nations.
'People across the world seek shared prosperity, not division,' Wang stated, reaffirming China's commitment to building a community with a shared future for mankind. He positioned China as a catalyst for opportunities within the Global South, stressing the need to oppose protectionism and preserve international trade frameworks.
