Chinese Rescue Teams Persist in Mandalay Earthquake Search Efforts

Chinese emergency responders have intensified search operations in Mandalay, Myanmar, following a devastating 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck the region on March 28. From March 31 to April 1, specialists from the China Ram Rescue Team combed through seven critical sites showing signs of potential survivors, working relentlessly amid challenging conditions.

Team leader He Jun confirmed all members remain in stable health despite the demanding 21-hour operation window. "Our thermal imaging devices and seismic detectors are active around the clock," He stated, emphasizing their methodical approach to locating trapped individuals.

The quake, one of Myanmar\u2019s strongest in decades, has drawn international attention to regional disaster response capabilities. Chinese teams operate in coordination with local authorities under ASEAN’s disaster management framework, showcasing cross-border humanitarian cooperation.
