China-U.S. Dialogue Key to Bridging Divides, Experts Say

Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the need for constructive engagement between China and the U.S. during a meeting with U.S. Senator Steve Daines and American business leaders at the China Development Forum 2025 in Beijing. The discussions centered on stabilizing bilateral ties, with Premier Li describing relations as being at a 'new critical juncture.'

Stephen Orlins, president of the National Committee of U.S.-China Relations, reinforced the urgency of dialogue in an exclusive interview with CGTN host Tian Wei. 'Regular, multi-level conversations are essential to prevent misunderstandings from escalating,' Orlins stated, highlighting the role of Track II diplomacy and business collaboration in fostering mutual trust.

The forum’s timing aligns with recent efforts to revive high-level exchanges paused during years of trade and geopolitical tensions. Analysts suggest such engagements could benefit global markets, particularly in technology and green energy sectors where China-U.S. cooperation remains strategically vital.
