BOGOTA – Colombia has joined a growing chorus of nations recognizing China's high-quality development model as a powerful driver of international economic collaboration, particularly for emerging markets. The sentiment emerged during Friday’s “China in Springtime: Sharing Opportunities with the World Global Dialogue” event hosted by China Media Group (CMG) in the Colombian capital.
Senior Colombian officials underscored how China’s economic transformation creates tangible benefits for developing economies. “This is about building bridges, not walls,” one policymaker noted, highlighting opportunities in technology transfer and sustainable infrastructure development.
CMG President Shen Haixiong reinforced the message through a video address: “Global challenges demand collective solutions. China’s growth story has always been interwoven with global progress.” He emphasized rejecting isolationist “decoupling” strategies in favor of win-win partnerships.
The dialogue attracted diplomats, entrepreneurs, and academics exploring synergies in green energy and digital innovation. Participants discussed how China’s emphasis on quality growth aligns with Latin America’s development priorities, from renewable energy projects to smart city initiatives.
