Guangdong Completes Thrilling Comeback to Defeat Zhejiang in CBA Clash

The Guangdong Southern Tigers staged a dramatic 17-point comeback to overcome the Zhejiang Golden Bulls 118-111 in a Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) showdown on Sunday, with veteran forward Ren Junfei leading the charge with 21 points.

Zhejiang dominated early, with Yu Jiahao's 15-point, 11-rebound performance establishing a commanding lead. However, Guangdong's resilience shone through as Xu Jie and Xu Xin ignited fast breaks, closing the gap to two points by halftime. Ren Junfei sealed the momentum shift with a pivotal three-pointer before the break.

The 35-year-old Ren, showcasing veteran poise, later extended Guangdong's lead to double digits with a critical lay-up. Despite a fiery 38-point performance from Zhejiang's Gabe York, Guangdong's teamwork prevailed, with Ren tipping in a clutch rebound and sinking the game-sealing jumper in the final quarter.

In other CBA action, the Sichuan Blue Whales edged the Nanjing Monkey Kings 128-124, while the Xinjiang Flying Tigers dominated the Guangzhou Loong Lions 116-80.
