Nuclear Energy as a Pillar of Development

Addressing Fukushima Concerns
The envoy called for strengthened international oversight of Japan\u2019s ongoing discharge of treated water from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, urging transparency. China will continue independent sampling and monitoring efforts to ensure compliance with safety standards, Li added.
Reviving the Iran Nuclear Deal
As the 10th anniversary of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) approaches, Li stressed the urgency of reviving diplomatic efforts to address Iran\u2019s nuclear program. He urged the U.S. to \"take substantive steps\" to rejoin negotiations and encouraged European nations to avoid escalation. \"Dialogue, not pressure, is the path to lasting solutions,\" he said, backing Iran\u2019s commitment to peaceful nuclear development.
