China is reinforcing its commitment to agricultural and rural development, aiming to advance comprehensive rural revitalization, according to a government work report submitted for deliberation on Wednesday.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang presented the work report on behalf of the State Council during the opening meeting of the third session of the 14th National People's Congress in Beijing.
\"Continuing to prioritize agricultural and rural development, we will learn from and apply the experience gained from the Green Rural Revival Program in Zhejiang Province and improve supporting systems for strengthening agriculture, benefiting farmers and enriching rural areas,\" said Premier Li.
He added, \"We will adopt all means necessary to raise agricultural returns, invigorate rural development and increase rural incomes.\"
Premier Li also emphasized China's ongoing efforts to consolidate and build on the country's achievements in poverty alleviation, ensuring sustained progress in improving the livelihoods of rural residents.
