China has welcomed all peace efforts to resolve the Ukraine crisis, including the recent talks between the United States and Russia. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun expressed hope that all parties and stakeholders could participate in the peace talks process in due course.
Guo emphasized that China believes dialogue and negotiation are the only viable ways to resolve the crisis and reaffirmed the nation's commitment to promoting talks for peace during a regular news briefing on Tuesday.
The remarks were made in response to a question regarding a meeting between U.S. and Russian officials in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Ukraine was notably absent.
