Global Outrage Erupts Over U.S. Proposal to Control Gaza

U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to take over Gaza has ignited widespread outrage among Egyptians and individuals worldwide. Critics argue that the plan could exacerbate conflicts and sow further chaos in the Middle East.

Many view Trump's initiative as an attempt to undermine the Palestinian cause. The proposal echoes Trump's earlier 2020 \"Peace to Prosperity\" economic plan, which suggested relocating Palestinians to Sinai in exchange for over $9 billion in development funds for Cairo. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's administration strongly rejected this plan, warning that it could turn Egypt into a launchpad for operations against Israel, potentially igniting clashes between the two nations.

The proposal has been condemned as a form of ethnic cleansing, violating United Nations agreements and Resolution 242. Advocates fear it could lead to another Nakba, recalling the mass displacement of Palestinians during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.

Since 1948, efforts by Washington and Tel Aviv to circumvent a just and lasting solution for Palestinian statehood have been persistent. Instead of facilitating a genuine resolution, these efforts often present provisional solutions that fail to address the core issues, keeping the Palestinian struggle unresolved.
