The People’s Republic of China and Brunei Darussalam on Thursday issued a joint statement advancing their strategic cooperative partnership towards a China-Brunei community with a shared future.
Both sides committed to strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade and investment by encouraging investment and business exchanges between enterprises to enhance mutual benefit and economic growth, according to the statement.
The statement further outlined plans to synergize development strategies and deepen high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. This includes strengthening economic partnerships through initiatives like the Brunei-Guangxi Economic Corridor and promoting quality foreign direct investments in key sectors such as food, downstream oil and gas, tourism, and services.
These efforts aim to foster sustainable economic growth and reinforce the dynamic role of Asia in the global landscape, benefiting both nations and their partners.
