China and Kyrgyzstan Strengthen Ties: Xi Jinping Calls for Comprehensive Collaboration

Chinese President Xi Jinping has emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation with Kyrgyzstan during talks with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Beijing. Xi highlighted the alignment of development strategies and the expansion of exchanges in state governance as key areas for partnership enhancement.

He outlined plans to advance all-round mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at building a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future. Discussing the Belt and Road Initiative, Xi stressed the need for high-quality collaboration to boost economic and trade relations, including increased imports of quality goods from Kyrgyzstan and support for Chinese enterprises investing in the country.

Xi also called for improvements in connectivity, such as the development of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, modernization of ports, and an increase in passenger and freight flights. Additionally, he highlighted opportunities in emerging sectors like cross-border e-commerce, big data, and artificial intelligence to drive new growth points.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a joint statement and agreements on Belt and Road cooperation, diplomacy, economy, trade, agriculture, and other fields. President Japarov lauded China as Kyrgyzstan's reliable partner and expressed support for China's positions on Taiwan, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong.
