The Political Bureau reviewed a report from its Standing Committee after discussing the work reports of the leading Party members' groups from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the Supreme People's Court (SPC), and the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP). The work report of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee was also examined.

The meeting acknowledged the accomplishments of these leading Party members' groups over the past year and approved their work plans for 2025. The Secretariat was encouraged to enhance its political capabilities, strengthen strict self-governance, and effectively fulfill all tasks assigned by the CPC Central Committee.

Highlighting the significance of the Yellow River Basin, the meeting underscored the need for ecological protection and high-quality development in the region. It called for the full implementation of the Yellow River Protection Law and emphasized systematic efforts to enhance water source conservation in the upper reaches, soil and water conservation in the middle reaches, and wetland protection and ecological governance in the lower reaches.

It urged the integration of the basin's high-quality development with national strategies such as the large-scale development of the western region and the rise of the central region. Additionally, it advocated for the holistic protection of cultural heritage and the promotion of integrated cultural and tourism development.
