President Xi Jinping Visits Flood-Affected Village in Northeast China Ahead of Spring Festival

President Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, braved the cold on Wednesday to visit flood-affected residents in northeast China's Liaoning Province.

Traveling to the village of Zhujiagou, under the administration of Suizhong County, Huludao City, Xi met with villagers impacted by the recent floods, offering support and encouragement.

The visit comes ahead of the Spring Festival, the most important festival for the Chinese people, which falls on January 29 this year. Xi's presence brought warmth to the community as they prepare for the upcoming celebrations despite the challenges posed by the floods.

Xi Jinping's trip underscores the government's commitment to the well-being of residents in flood-hit areas, highlighting efforts to ensure that affected communities can recover and celebrate the Spring Festival.
