In an exclusive interview with CGTN's Global Business, Severin Podolak, Head of Event Management and Operations at the World Economic Forum (WEF), emphasized the organization's commitment to sustainability and diversity at the 2024 Davos Forum.

Podolak highlighted that this year's event focused on the principles of \"reduce, reuse, and recycle\" to minimize environmental impact. \"We tried our best to implement sustainable practices throughout the forum,\" he stated. Measures included subsidizing participants who traveled by public transportation to encourage eco-friendly travel options.

The 2024 Davos Forum also prioritized diverse representation from various regions, industries, and viewpoints. \"Bringing together a wide range of perspectives is crucial for meaningful dialogue and progress,\" Podolak explained. The inclusion of diverse voices aimed to foster comprehensive discussions on global challenges and opportunities.

By integrating sustainability initiatives and promoting diversity, the WEF strives to create an event that not only addresses pressing global issues but also leads by example in implementing practical solutions.
