Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, extended festive greetings on Monday to members of non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front ahead of the Spring Festival.
During the annual gathering held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Xi conveyed his warm wishes for the Lunar New Year, which falls on January 29 this year. He highlighted the significance of unity and collaboration in achieving the nation's development goals.
