Xi, who is also the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, communicated with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong to mark this historic milestone. He highlighted the profound friendship that has developed over the past 75 years, noting that China and Vietnam are \"both comrades and brothers.\"

\"The two sides have fought side by side and supported each other in their struggle for national independence and liberation,\" Xi remarked. He stressed that the shared socialist ideals and pursuit of a common future are the most striking features of the relationship between the two parties and countries.

Reflecting on his visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi recalled the pledge made by both countries to work towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future. He stated that this commitment has elevated the relations between the two parties and countries to a new stage.

Amid unprecedented changes unfolding in the world, Xi underscored the importance of China and Vietnam continuing to follow the path of socialism. He stated that this path bears on the future of both nations and the global socialist cause, contributing significantly to regional and global peace, stability, development, and prosperity.

Xi expressed his dedication to strengthening bilateral relations, emphasizing the opportunity presented by the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges. He called for both sides to \"keep in mind the original mission and forge ahead on the new journey toward socialist modernization,\" aiming to deliver greater benefits to the peoples of both countries and to contribute to human development and progress.
