President Xi Visits Flood-Affected Village in Liaoning Province Ahead of Spring Festival

Braving the winter chill, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited the village of Zhujiagou in northeast China's Liaoning Province on Wednesday. The village, under the administration of Suizhong County, Huludao City, was among the areas affected by recent floods.

During his visit, Xi met with local residents who have been impacted by the flooding. He listened attentively to their stories, concerns, and the challenges they face as they work to rebuild their lives. Xi expressed his deepest sympathies and assured them of the government's continued support in recovery efforts.

"The well-being of every resident is close to my heart," Xi told the villagers. "Together, we will overcome these difficulties and welcome a prosperous new year."

Xi's visit comes ahead of the Spring Festival, the most important festival for the Chinese people, which falls on January 29 this year. Recognizing the significance of the festival, he emphasized the importance of ensuring that all affected families can celebrate the occasion with hope and joy.

The trip highlights the government's commitment to aiding flood-stricken communities and underscores the ongoing efforts to promote recovery and development in the region.
