In a heartfelt gesture ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival, President Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited the flood-affected village of Zhujiagou in northeast China's Liaoning Province on Wednesday.

Braving the cold weather, President Xi met with residents impacted by recent floods, offering support and encouragement during this challenging time. Zhujiagou Village, under the administration of Suizhong County in Huludao City, has been one of the areas affected by severe flooding.

The visit underscores the government's commitment to assisting those in need as the nation prepares to celebrate the Spring Festival, the most significant festival for the Chinese people, which falls on January 29 this year. President Xi's presence brought hope to the villagers, highlighting efforts to ensure that all communities can partake in the festivities with resilience and optimism.
