During the event, President Xi emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving China's development goals. \"We must sustain sound social and economic development in 2025,\" Xi declared, underscoring the significance of meeting the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025). \"This will lay a solid foundation for the next five years.\"
Xi called on non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and personages without party affiliation to align with the central tasks and serve the country's overall interests. He urged them to leverage their unique strengths to rally broader support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and strength.
Addressing environmental concerns, Xi stressed the need to tackle critical and challenging problems in supervising the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem. He also encouraged the ACFIC to guide the private sector in maintaining enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, bolstering confidence in development, and establishing modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese features.
Looking ahead to the future, Xi expressed hope that non-CPC personages would mobilize all positive forces to advance development. He called on them to actively contribute to comprehensively deepening reform, promoting high-quality development, and formulating proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).
