Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a video meeting on Tuesday, reaffirming their commitment to strengthen the stable and resilient relationship between China and Russia in the face of global uncertainties.

President Xi emphasized that a robust partnership between the two nations would help address the challenges posed by the external environment. He expressed readiness to work with President Putin in 2025 to elevate China-Russia relations to new heights, jointly promote development and revitalization, and uphold international fairness and justice.

\"The two sides should continue to deepen strategic cooperation, firm up mutual support, and safeguard the legitimate interests of both countries,\" Xi stated. He called for the consolidation and expansion of bilateral relations and the promotion of in-depth practical cooperation.

President Putin affirmed the strong foundation of trust and support that characterizes Russia-China relations. \"Russia and China have always trusted and supported each other and treated each other as equals,\" he said. He underscored that cooperation between the two countries serves the interests of their peoples and will remain unaffected by changes in the international situation.

During the meeting, the leaders held an in-depth exchange of views on international and regional issues of common concern and agreed to maintain strategic communication throughout the year.
