Xi Jinping Visits Shenyang Ahead of Spring Festival

Chinese President Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, paid a visit to Shenyang, the capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, on Thursday ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival.

During his visit, Xi inspected a food market and a residential community in Shenyang, where he learned about the supply of goods during the holiday season, measures in place to meet residents' daily needs, and efforts to optimize public services.

Xi's trip to Shenyang continues his tradition of spending time with ordinary people ahead of the Spring Festival, which falls on January 22 this year. The Spring Festival is the most significant celebration in China, marking the Lunar New Year and a time for family reunions.

At the food market, Xi interacted with vendors and shoppers, inquiring about the availability and prices of essential goods. He emphasized the importance of ensuring ample supply and stable prices during the festive season to meet the needs of the people.

In the residential community, Xi spoke with residents about their daily lives and the progress made in improving living standards. He stressed the need for continuous efforts to enhance community services and support for the well-being of the citizens.

Xi's visit reflects the government's commitment to prioritizing the people's livelihood and maintaining close ties with communities across the nation, especially during significant cultural celebrations like the Spring Festival.
