Over a week has passed since a magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on January 7. Resettlement and reconstruction efforts are still underway as the community begins to rebuild.
In the heart of these efforts, firefighters from the Xizang Forest Firefighting Special Operations Unit are providing vital support to the affected villagers. At Cuo'ang Village in Quluo Town, Dingri County, these dedicated firefighters are not only assisting with emergency response but are also preparing lunch for the villagers.
Our reporter, Zhao Chenchen, visited the village to observe how the firefighters are helping to bring a sense of normalcy back to the community. By preparing meals, they offer comfort and sustenance to those who have been displaced by the earthquake.
The collaborative efforts between the firefighters and the villagers highlight the solidarity and resilience of the people in Xizang. As resettlement and reconstruction continue, such acts of kindness play a crucial role in aiding the community's recovery.
