A key topic of the meeting was the comprehensive promotion of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. The significance of the Yellow River, often referred to as the \"Mother River\" of China, was underscored, with calls for the full enforcement of the Yellow River Protection Law.
Efforts were proposed to systematically enhance water source conservation in the upper reaches of the river, strengthen soil and water conservation in the middle reaches, and advance wetland protection and ecological governance in the lower reaches. The meeting emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of critical dams, reservoirs, and infrastructure along the river.
Furthermore, the meeting highlighted the need to align the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin with the broader strategies of the large-scale development of the western region and the rise of the central region. Initiatives to improve holistic and systematic protection of cultural heritage and to promote the integration of culture and tourism development were also discussed.
This meeting signifies the CPC's commitment to ecological preservation, sustainable development, and the continuous advancement of China's modernization efforts. The directives set forth aim to balance economic growth with environmental stewardship, ensuring long-term benefits for the nation and its people.
