In a video meeting on Tuesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the importance of a stable and resilient relationship between China and Russia to address uncertainties in the external world.

President Xi stated his readiness to work with President Putin in 2025 to continue guiding China-Russia relations to new heights. He highlighted the need to cope with external uncertainties through the stability and resilience of their bilateral relations, jointly promote the development and revitalization of both countries, and uphold international fairness and justice.

\"The two sides should continue to deepen strategic cooperation, firm up mutual support, and safeguard the legitimate interests of both countries,\" Xi added, calling for the consolidation and expansion of bilateral relations and promoting the in-depth development of practical cooperation.

Echoing Xi's sentiments, President Putin remarked that Russia and China have always trusted and supported each other, treating each other as equals. \"Cooperation between the two sides serves the interests of both peoples and will never be impacted by changes in the international situation,\" Putin asserted.

The two leaders engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on international and regional issues of common concern and agreed to maintain strategic communication in the coming year.
