Xi Jinping Extends Spring Festival Greetings to Non-CPC Personages

Chinese President Xi Jinping extended festive greetings to members of non-Communist Party of China (CPC) political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival.

During an annual gathering held on Monday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Xi conveyed his best wishes for the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on January 29 this year. In his address, Xi emphasized China's commitment to implementing more proactive and impactful macroeconomic policies, focusing on high-quality development, and promoting greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology to sustain sound social and economic progress in 2025.

He called upon non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and personages without party affiliation to align themselves with central tasks, serve the nation's overall interests, and leverage their unique strengths to rally broad support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and strength.

\"Achieving the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) is crucial,\" Xi underscored, highlighting the importance of laying a solid foundation for the next five years. He expressed hope that non-CPC personages would mobilize all positive forces to advance development, actively contribute to comprehensively deepening reform, promoting high-quality development, and formulating proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).

Xi also stressed the need to address critical and challenging problems in supervising the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem. He urged the ACFIC to guide the private sector in maintaining enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, bolstering confidence in development, and establishing and improving modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese features.

The gathering reflects the CPC's commitment to united front work and collaboration with non-CPC entities to achieve national development goals and foster social harmony ahead of the Spring Festival celebrations.
