Chinese President Xi Jinping has emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between China and Vietnam, expressing his readiness to work alongside Vietnamese leaders to deepen strategic mutual trust and enhance practical cooperation.

In a message exchanged with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong on Saturday, commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, Xi highlighted the significance of their shared socialist ideals.

\"China and Vietnam, as friendly socialist neighbors, represent a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance,\" Xi stated. He acknowledged the historical bonds forged through their joint struggles for national independence and liberation. \"So profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China because we are both comrades and brothers,\" he added, underscoring the deep-rooted connection between the two countries.

Reflecting on his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi noted the commitment both sides made to building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, elevating bilateral relations to a new level. He emphasized that amidst unprecedented global changes, the continued adherence to the path of socialism by both nations is crucial for their future and the advancement of the global socialist cause.

Xi expressed his dedication to fostering stronger bilateral relations, leveraging the opportunities presented by the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges.
