In an interview with CGTN's Global Business, Severin Podolak, the Head of Event Management and Operations at the World Economic Forum (WEF), highlighted the organization's dedication to sustainability and diversity at this year's event.
Podolak shared that the WEF has made concerted efforts to \"reduce, reuse, and recycle\" during the 2024 Davos Forum. One of the measures implemented was subsidizing participants who chose to travel by public transportation, encouraging more environmentally friendly travel options.
He also emphasized that the event brought in diverse representation from different regions, industries, and perspectives. \"We believe that incorporating a wide range of voices is essential to addressing global challenges effectively,\" Podolak said.
The focus on sustainability and diversity reflects the WEF's commitment to promoting inclusive dialogue and responsible practices in international forums.
