Xi Jinping Extends Spring Festival Greetings to Non-CPC Personages

In a gesture of unity and forward momentum, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended warm Spring Festival greetings to non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front. The gathering took place on Monday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, ahead of the Spring Festival, which falls on January 29 this year.

Xi, who is also the Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, emphasized the importance of collaboration and collective effort in achieving the nation's goals. He called for greater focus on high-quality development, self-reliance in science and technology, and the implementation of proactive macro policies to ensure sustained social and economic advancement in 2025.

\"We must rally broader support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and strength,\" Xi urged, highlighting the unique strengths of non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and personages without party affiliation. He encouraged these groups to serve the country's overall interests and concentrate on central tasks to contribute to the nation's progress.

Xi underscored the significance of fully realizing the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) and laying a solid foundation for the subsequent five years. He expressed hope that non-CPC personages would mobilize all positive forces to advance development, actively participate in comprehensively deepening reform, promote high-quality development, and contribute to the formulation of proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).

Addressing environmental concerns, Xi stressed the need to tackle critical and challenging problems in the supervision of the Yangtze River ecosystem's protection. He called for concerted efforts to safeguard the river's ecological well-being, which is vital for the country's sustainable development.

Regarding the private sector, Xi noted that the ACFIC should guide businesses in maintaining enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and bolstering confidence in development. He emphasized the importance of establishing and improving modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese features, fostering a robust and dynamic economic environment.

As China prepares to celebrate the Spring Festival, Xi's messages resonate with a call for unity and shared responsibility among all sectors of society. His remarks set a tone of collaboration and optimism for the year ahead, inviting all to contribute to the nation's prosperity and well-being.
