On Saturday, President Xi exchanged congratulatory messages with General Secretary To Lam of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam.

He highlighted the profound friendship between the two nations, rooted in their joint struggles for national independence and liberation. \"So profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China because we are both comrades and brothers,\" he added.

Reflecting on his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, Xi noted that the two sides pledged to work towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future. He stressed that this commitment has elevated the relations between the two parties and countries to a new level.
