The meeting reviewed crucial reports and laid out plans for ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin.

The gathering focused on assessing the work reports from the leading Party members' groups of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the Supreme People's Court (SPC), and the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP). The significance of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin was a key highlight. The meeting called for the comprehensive enforcement of the Yellow River Protection Law. Efforts will focus on enhancing water source conservation in the upper reaches, strengthening soil and water conservation in the middle reaches, and advancing wetland protection and ecological governance in the lower reaches of the river.

Ensuring the safety of critical infrastructure such as dams and reservoirs was stressed. The meeting also advocated for synergizing the Yellow River's development with strategies for the large-scale development of the western region and the rise of the central region. Enhancing the protection of cultural heritage and promoting the integration of culture and tourism were also discussed as vital components of the overall development strategy.

The Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee was urged to boost political capability, strengthen self-governance, and diligently accomplish all tasks assigned by the CPC Central Committee.
