Xi Jinping Extends Spring Festival Greetings to Non-CPC Personages

Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended festive greetings on Monday to people from non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front ahead of the Spring Festival.

At an annual gathering held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Xi, who is also the Chinese President and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, joined non-CPC personages to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival, which falls on January 29 this year.

In his address, Xi emphasized China’s commitment to implementing more proactive and impactful macro policies. He highlighted a focus on high-quality development and the promotion of greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology to maintain robust social and economic momentum in 2025.

Xi called upon non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and individuals without party affiliation to concentrate on the central tasks, serve the nation’s overall interests, and leverage their unique strengths. He encouraged them to rally broader support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and strength for the country’s development.

He stressed the importance of concerted efforts in 2025 to successfully achieve the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), laying a solid foundation for the next five years. Xi’s remarks underscored the vital role of unity and collaboration in reaching China’s strategic goals.
