Specific directives were issued to systematically enhance water source conservation in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, strengthen soil and water conservation in the middle reaches, and advance wetland protection and ecological governance in the lower reaches. Efforts were also urged to ensure the safety of critical dams, reservoirs, and infrastructure along the river.
The meeting emphasized the importance of aligning the Yellow River’s high-quality development with national strategies such as the large-scale development of the western region and the rise of the central region. Additionally, it highlighted the need to improve the holistic and systematic protection of cultural heritage and promote the integration of culture and tourism development along the Yellow River.
