TikTok Restores Services in the U.S. Following Trump’s Executive Order

TikTok began restoring its services in the United States on Sunday after President-elect Donald Trump announced he would revive the app’s access when he returns to power on Monday. The popular short-video sharing platform, used by 170 million Americans, had been facing uncertainty regarding its availability in the country.

“Frankly, we have no choice. We have to save it,” Trump said at a rally on Sunday ahead of his inauguration. He added that the United States would seek a joint venture to restore the app’s services.

In a message to users hours before the rally, TikTok stated, “As a result of President Trump’s efforts, TikTok is back in the U.S.”

The decision marks a significant shift in TikTok’s operations within the United States and reflects the administration’s interest in supporting platforms that engage millions of users. The move is expected to have implications for the social media landscape and for American users who have come to rely on the app for entertainment and communication.
