The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) has recently launched an English-language database on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, aiming to reach a global audience.
The database integrates authoritative online resources and multilingual literature, primarily in English. It showcases original texts and reports of relevant news, important speeches, congratulatory letters and messages, books, and signed articles by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
“Through extensive online collection and resource collaboration, we have gathered multilingual literature on Xi Jinping Thought, ensuring that our data sources are authoritative and reliable,” said Wang Lan, director of the CASS library.
Established with the support of the National Center for Philosophy and Social Sciences Documentation since 2016, the database has expanded its reach to over 90,000 institutional users and 8 million individual users across more than 190 countries and regions. This widespread dissemination contributes to the international understanding of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
Wang emphasized that the database not only provides valuable resources for scholars and researchers but also fosters cultural exchange and mutual understanding between China and the rest of the world.
