Her innovative and daring routine clinched the gold medal for China. Humble in victory, Deng attributed her success to a bit of luck, saying she was “fortunate to win.”

In men’s speed climbing, 22-year-old Wu Peng from Hunan province made a significant breakthrough for China. Clocking an impressive 4.77 seconds in the final, Wu earned the silver medal, narrowly missing gold by a mere 0.02 seconds to Indonesia’s Veddriq Leonardo, who secured his country’s first gold in Paris.

In women’s skateboarding, 15-year-old Cui Chenxi showcased incredible talent, finishing fourth and achieving China’s best result in the event to date. Her performance highlights the potential of China’s young athletes in emerging Olympic sports.
