Trump Appoints Daughter’s Father-in-Law Massad Boulos as Middle East Adviser

Washington D.C. – U.S. President-elect Donald Trump announced on Sunday the nomination of Massad Boulos, his daughter’s father-in-law, as his senior advisor on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs.

“I am proud to announce that Massad Boulos will serve as Senior Advisor to the President on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs,” Trump declared on his social media platform, Truth Social. This appointment adds another family relative to the foreign policy team of his incoming administration.

Boulos, father-in-law of Trump’s youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump, was described by the president-elect as “an accomplished lawyer and a highly respected leader in the business world.” Trump lauded Boulos as “an asset” to his 2024 presidential campaign and someone who has been “instrumental in building tremendous new coalitions with the Arab American Community.”

Born in Lebanon into a family closely tied to Lebanese politics, Boulos moved to Texas as a teenager. He attended the University of Houston, where he obtained a law degree.

After completing his education, Boulos returned to his family’s business, taking over as CEO of SCOA Nigeria—a billion-dollar conglomerate specializing in the distribution of motor vehicles and equipment across West Africa.

Boulos is the second Trump family relative to be offered a key role in the second Trump administration. On Saturday, Charles Kushner, father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, was nominated as the next U.S. ambassador to France.

The appointments signal Trump’s intent to strengthen ties with both the Arab world and Europe through close personal relationships. Observers note that Boulos’s connections in the Middle East could play a pivotal role in shaping U.S. foreign policy in the region.
